Accuvant Executive Management

Dan Burns, Accuvant Co-founder and Vice President of Sales


Burns serves as Accuvant's Vice President of Sales where he has built a world class sales organization with representatives in 15 cities across the United States. With over 14 years of security sales experience, Burns has a proven track record for building teams that consistently achieve and exceed company revenue goals. He has been instrumental in driving Accuvant's revenue at a rate of 6,200% in just under six years.

Prior to founding Accuvant, Burns was a Regional VP of Sales for OneSecure (Netscreen), Regional VP of Sales for Exault (VeriSign), and a Sales Representative for several other security companies. Burns graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from San Jose State University.

 

 

William Strub III, Accuvant Co-founder and Vice President of Consulting

 

As Accuvant's Vice President of Consulting, Strub is responsible for providing vision and structure behind the delivery side of Accuvant's four practice areas - assessment, compliance, security technologies and wireless. His proven track record of delivering consistent, quality solutions to clients is reflected by high client retention and customer satisfaction rates.

 

Strub joined Accuvant from NetSecure Consulting, where he provided strategic consulting services to a diverse base of corporate enterprises including several Fortune 500 companies. Previously he worked as a Senior Security Consultant at Internet Security Systems. Strub holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Saint Thomas and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

 

 

Scott Walker, Accuvant Co-founder and Vice President of Operations

 

As Accuvant's Vice President of Operations Walker leads the company's internal structure to support the needs of its clients, partners and employees. His role includes working with customers to architect compliance and security solutions, provide oversight throughout projects, and improve internal company capabilities Walker's leadership included the development of Accuvant's Security Coverage Model and establishing Accuvant's four practice areas of Assessment, Compliance, Security Technologies, and Wireless to align Accuvant's offerings and specialized resources to client needs.

 

Prior to founding Accuvant in 2002, Walker was a consulting manager with Internet Security Systems where he led a team of consultants focused on performing security assessments and deploying security technologies for large enterprise clients. Walker joined ISS through its acquisition of Netrex Secure Solutions in 1999, where he was also a consulting manager in charge of the security infrastructure for several global telecom clients. Before entering the information security industry, Walker was a consultant at Accenture. Walker graduated magna cum laude from Duke University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and English.

 

 

Dan Wilson, Accuvant Co-founder and Vice President of Vendor Relations


Dan Wilson, Vice President of Partner Relations, has been in the technology industry for 15 years, including ten in the information security space. During his career, Wilson has worked for every component of the technology supply chain, from the manufacturer, to the distributor, and finally as a value-added reseller. This background has made Wilson effective in his role managing partner relations for Accuvant, as he is able to utilize his understanding of the business drivers involved with all the organizations involved in the ultimate delivery and deployment of the technology solution in order to maximize Accuvant's effectiveness and profit.

 

Prior to his employment at Accuvant, Wilson worked at Access Graphics (GE Access), Netrex Secure Solutions, Exault and VeriSign. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Colorado - Boulder.

 

 

Edward Wittman, Chief Financial Officer

 

Wittman brings to Accuvant nearly 25 years of experience in financial and operations management at leading technology start-ups. He has a successful record of positioning companies to take advantage of market changes, higher profit opportunities, and business trends. Wittman is responsible for Accuvant's financial administration, accounting, strategic planning, treasury functions and company acquisitions and division spin-offs.

 

Wittman has held a number of senior management and consulting positions at Scientific Software-Intercomp, Health Industry Consultants, Metrix Teknika, Unirad Corporation, Data Products Corporation, Litton Industries and Dow Jones and Company. He earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Colorado and a Bachelor of Science from California State University.
