Accuvant Researcher Charlie Miller, Ph.D. to Keynote International NATO Conference on Cyber Conflict
Denver – June 2, 2011 – Accuvant, the only research-driven information security partner delivering alignment, clarity and confidence to enterprise and government clients, today announced that Charlie Miller, Ph.D., a principal research consultant for the renowned Accuvant LABS team, will deliver the keynote address at NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence’s upcoming 3rd International Conference on Cyber Conflict.
Dr. Miller will talk about “Why the Bad Guys are Winning the InfoSec War”, focusing on the role unknown vulnerabilities and 0-day exploits play in information security. He’ll explain why they exist, why they are dangerous, the harm they can cause, and how to defend against them. In this light, he will also discuss some of the recent large hacker attacks and how they worked.

Dr. Miller is a computer security expert with specialties in vulnerability analysis, including using fuzzing to find software vulnerabilities. In addition, he is an expert on mobile security, including the iPhone and Android platforms, and is widely recognized as the leading expert on Mac OS X security.
